From Drummond
As an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) and an Accredited Test Lab (ATL) within the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Health IT Certification Program, Drummond specializes in working with healthcare information technology (health IT) developers to test and certify their software for use by healthcare providers in regulatory programs. Our experience of certifying more than 3,000 health IT products is the foundation for the Payer and Patient Access FHIR® API Certification Program.
Drummond’s Payer and Patient Access FHIR® API Certification Program measures compliance with the new CMS Interoperability and Patient Access final rule (CMS-9115-F) and the proposed rule Reducing Provider and Patient Burden by Improving Prior Authorization Processes and Promoting Patients’ Electronic Access to Health Information (CMS-9123-P).
Given the breadth of requirements that span multiple domains, our flexible program is designed to allow health IT developers and payer systems to achieve certification via a badge system. The badges are based on CMS requirements and HL7 implementation guides. Whether looking to achieve one or more badges over the course of time, the choice is solely that of the solution provider depending on readiness.
