Legal Operations Paralegal - Contracts & CLM
Position Description
The Legal Operations Paralegal – Contracts & CLM supports CAQH’s Legal team by owning both contract lifecycle execution and day-to-day administration of CAQH’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, Agiloft. This role functions as a hybrid paralegal and legal operations professional, serving as the primary point of contact for contract intake, workflow management, system governance, and contract data integrity.
This individual partners closely with the General Counsel and Legal team, as well as Procurement, Finance, Sales, Account Management, and Supplier Management, to ensure contracts are processed efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with CAQH policies. The role requires strong paralegal judgment, hands-on CLM system expertise, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
This is a full-time, remote, exempt position reporting to the General Counsel.
Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually.
Specific Responsibilities:
Legal Operations & Paralegal Support

Act as a trusted paralegal partner to the General Counsel and Legal team, supporting contract-related legal operations and workflows.

Manage contract intake, triage, and prioritization in alignment with Legal guidance and business needs.

Maintain accurate and complete contract records, including execution status, amendments, renewals, expirations, and required notices.

Track and support compliance with contractual obligations, internal policies, and governance requirements.

Assist with audits, evidence collection, and legal or compliance reporting related to contracts.

Support Legal in reviewing contract metadata, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring adherence to approved contracting standards.
CLM (Agiloft) Administration

Serve as the primary system administrator and subject matter expert for CAQH’s Agiloft CLM platform.

Manage user access, roles, permissions, onboarding, and terminations within the CLM system.

Maintain and update contract templates, clause libraries, workflows, and metadata fields.

Ensure data accuracy, system hygiene, and integrity of all contract records.

Support contract execution through Agiloft integrations, including DocuSign.

Produce standard and ad hoc CLM reports for Legal, Finance, Procurement, and business leadership.

Serve as first-line support for internal stakeholders with questions related to contracts, CLM workflows, and system functionality.

Coordinate with Agiloft Support and external consultants to troubleshoot issues, document resolutions, and track enhancements.
Continuous Improvement & Enablement

Partner with Legal and technical resources to design, implement, test, and deploy CLM enhancements and upgrades.

Support requirements gathering, configuration changes, and user acceptance testing.

Develop and maintain CLM documentation, training materials, process guides, and FAQs.

Train new and existing users on contracting processes and Agiloft functionality.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve contract workflows, system efficiency, and user adoption.

Skills:

Paralegal training, certification, or equivalent hands-on paralegal experience.

Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and legal operations workflows.

Hands-on experience administering a CLM platform, with Agiloft experience strongly preferred.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work closely with attorneys.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across legal, technical, and business stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business systems.
Preferred Skills:

Prior experience supporting in-house legal teams.

Experience with Salesforce, DocuSign, or related contract and CRM tools.

Experience supporting audits, compliance initiatives, or regulated environments.

Agiloft Administrator certification or comparable CLM system credentials.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal operations, contract administration, or paralegal roles.

Demonstrated experience owning CLM systems, contract workflows, and system governance.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Paralegal certificate or legal operations credential strongly preferred.
