Sr. Data Quality Analyst
Position Description
Data is CAQH’s most critical asset, and you will help define how we think about and manage it. In this role, you will be responsible for leading data quality initiatives across the organization to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data assets. This role partners with business stakeholders, data engineering, analytics, and governance teams to design, implement, and continuously improve data quality frameworks, controls, and monitoring processes.
The Sr. Data Quality Analyst is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Director, Data Governance.
Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually
Specific Responsibilities:
· Lead development, processes, methodology and operations of the data quality program under the Data Governance Office.
· Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide data quality strategies, standards, and best practices.
· Design and implement data quality rules, validation checks, profiling routines, and monitoring dashboards within data quality tools.
· Perform root cause analysis on data issues and drive remediation plans with cross-functional teams.
· Collaborate with Data Engineering and BI teams to embed data quality controls into ETL/ELT pipelines.
· Establish and maintain data quality KPIs, scorecards, and reporting for leadership.
· Conduct data profiling and impact analysis to support new system implementations and data migrations.
· Ensure compliance with internal governance policies and external regulatory requirements.
· Define data quality thresholds and SLAs in alignment with key business area goals and requirements.
· Document data quality processes, data lineage, and metadata standards.
· Provide subject matter expertise in data governance initiatives and master data management (MDM).
· Support audit activities related to data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior data quality analysts and data stewards.
· Lead small project teams or workstreams related to data quality initiatives.
· Review and validate deliverables produced by team members.
· Coordinate workload prioritization and resource allocation within assigned projects.
· Contribute to performance evaluations and development planning for junior staff (as applicable).
Skills:
Technical Skills:
· Advanced SQL and data querying skills.
· Experience with data profiling and data quality tools (e.g., Ataccama, Informatica, Talend, Collibra, Great Expectations).
· Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
· Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
· Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
· Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
Analytical & Soft Skills:

· Ability to translate business requirements into technical data rules.

· Extensive expertise in diverse development and deployment of data analytics and business intelligence functions.
Experience:
· 5–8+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, data governance, or related roles.
· 2+ years of leadership and proficiency in the design and development of data focused solutions and tooling (including SQL and NoSQL).
· Proven experience implementing enterprise data quality frameworks within data quality tools (e.g., Ataccama, Informatica, Talend, Collibra, Great Expectations).
· Experience working in cross-functional, data-driven environments.
· Prior experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, insurance) is preferred.
· Demonstrated experience leading projects or mentoring junior analysts.
· Expert level understanding of relational database concepts, dimensional database concepts, and database architecture and design.
· Data analysis experience in the areas of medical or health services are preferred.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field required.
· Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
· Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or equivalent are a plus.
