Supplier Management Manager
Position Description
The Supplier Management Manager owns the day-to-day sourcing and supplier management activities across CAQH. This role executes core sourcing processes, supports supplier governance, and ensures contract and vendor performance while partnering closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Product Teams. This position is hands-on and operationally responsible for running RFx, negotiations, contracting steps, and supplier oversight. As CAQH builds the SMO function, process creation and documentation are helpful but not the primary focus of the role.
The Supplier Management Manager is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Director, Supplier Management Office.
Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 annually.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance renewal process across CAQH.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, QBRs, and issue/action logs.
- Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities and track savings against targets.
- Maintain vendor governance cadence, escalating risks and performance issues when needed.
- Support creation and improvement of SMO processes, templates, and playbooks.
- Run end-to-end sourcing events including demand intake, RFx, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and pricing analysis.
- Partner with Legal on contract drafting, redlines, execution, and ensuring alignment to CAQH requirements.
- Support CLM/CRM tooling (e.g. Agiloft, etc.), maintain clean supplier data, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Assist with AI-enabled enhancements to the contract lifecycle (clause classification, risk detection, obligation tracking).
- Provide clear updates on sourcing activity, risks, and supplier performance to key stakeholders.
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact for assigned suppliers and support escalation management.

Skills
- Supplier governance experience including KPIs/SLAs, scorecards, and QBRs.
- Analytical capability with the ability to summarize data and create insights.
- Clear, concise communicator able to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Operational and process-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with peers.
- Strong strategic sourcing and category management fundamentals.
- Commercial negotiation skills with the ability to drive value and mitigate risk.
- High level of initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Effective project management skills to ensure seamless coordination, timely delivery of work and successful relationship management with internal/external customers.
- Advanced skillset in the MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Office 365, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Generative AI (structured prompting, workflow design, decision support).
Experience
- 5–7 years in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain.
- Hands-on experience running RFx, evaluating bids, and negotiating terms.
- Experience with CLM tools (Agiloft preferred) or CRM systems; exposure to AI in contracting is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification in relevant supplier management or procurement methodologies (e.g., CSCP, CPPM), desired.
