Vice President, Product Strategy and Management - Provider Data Solutions
Position Description
The Vice President, Product Strategy and Management - Provider Data will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the Provider Data product space. The Vice President will also be responsible for developing and delivering high-impact strategies and product innovations to enhance the value of CAQH's Provider Data solutions and drive growth. This role will manage the team responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Provider Data products, from strategy to ideation and platform delivery to product operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key results (OKRs).
This leader will take direct accountability for initiatives, including testing and delivering Member Data solutions to serve the needs of CAQH customers, prospects, and partners. This work includes understanding customer needs through a Human Centered Design approach, identifying market opportunities, defining go-to-market strategies, and delivering solutions in collaboration with technology teams and partners. This includes building strong business cases, robust product roadmaps, and being accountable for outcomes. Success will be measured through the value created with Provider Data products, including increased revenue, higher customer value, and improved customer satisfaction.
The Vice President, Product Strategy and Management - Provider Data is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Chief Product Officer.
Base Salary Range: $250,000 - $275,000 annually.
Specific Responsibilities
- Structure, deploy, and oversee a high-performance team, including directors, managers and individual contributors in Product Strategy, Product Management, and Product Operation
- Bring significant subject matter expertise to solve for industry challenges impacting payers, providers, and solution end-users—including the use of provider data in the context of credentialing, directory management, provider data management, network management, workforce management, and health plan and/or health system operations and analytics.
- Develop vision, strategy, and apply proven methodologies to innovate new Provider Data products.
- Direct the development of business strategies and recommendations informed by market research.
- Align product direction with corporate strategy, ensuring scalability and profitability. Every product decision is made with the broader corporate goals in mind, ensuring that the product portfolio supports the company's long-term vision.
- Ensure that deep customer insights inform business decisions by gathering and analyzing data on customer needs and behaviors to drive product development.
- Ensure data informs every strategic business decision—leveraging data to identify trends, measure performance, and make informed decisions.
- Align prioritization with corporate goals, driving efficiency and impact at scale—allocating resources to the most critical projects and ensuring that the company can achieve its strategic objectives.
- Lead transformational innovation, driving new revenue streams and business models and fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation, encouraging teams to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept to ongoing operations, and retirement, ensuring that they continue to meet customer needs and generate revenue.
- Define communication strategies that unify cross-functional and external stakeholders—ensuring that everyone involved in the product development process is aligned and working towards the same goals.
- Collaborate with external development vendors, fostering a one-team mentality to ensure seamless integration and alignment with project goals.
- Consistently deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting commitments, facilitating conversations about trade-offs, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
- Partner with Growth, Finance, and Operations teams to address customer problems and frame business cases.
- Inform the selection of and business arrangements with strategic partners to design and deliver high-quality Member Data products and services.
- Influence CAQH teams and leadership to explore new ideas and pursue new business opportunities.
- Manage executive-level relationships, driving alignment between product vision and business outcomes.
- Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to advocate for strategic recommendations or business cases.
- Champion and support a culture of customer centricity, innovation, and strategic decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The Vice President is expected to perform a supervisory role and may manage 1-6 direct reports. They will manage department finances and oversee vendors, consultants, or other partners

Experience:
- 15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in a healthcare technology product, data product, digital strategy, or consulting role.
- 10+ years of experience in managing resources, budgets, and overseeing product performance.
- Proven ability to seek out new opportunities with partners or alliances.
- Experience analyzing and applying market insights or competitive intelligence.
- Proven conceptual, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
- History of quickly gaining credibility and partnering with business leaders.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
