The CAQH Ask the Index LLM is deployed in a secure, controlled environment and is designed to work only with approved CAQH content. This includes all CAQH Index reports and other CAQH research and solution materials. It does not train on your inputs and does not access external systems or datasets. This approach reflects CAQH’s commitment to providing accurate, authorized data and maintaining the highest standards of trust and integrity across every solution we deliver.
For transparency and performance, your conversations are stored for 30 days, then automatically removed. They are encrypted and cannot be viewed by anyone at CAQH. This ensures you can explore the data with confidence, knowing the information you share stays private and protected.
You can ask any question related to CAQH Index findings, CAQH research, historical reports, or related insights. The tool is designed to help you quickly navigate trusted CAQH data, validate assumptions, and make faster, clearer decisions using reliable information at your fingertips.

How should I cite or reference CAQH Index Pro Chartbook and dashboard content?
CAQH Index Pro is a subscription-based product. While the interactive dashboards and Chartbook are not publicly accessible, CAQH encourages users to reference Index Pro data in external materials with clear attribution.
For most use cases, CAQH recommends citing the data source as:

The CAQH Index tracks common medical, dental and pharmacy administrative transactions:

Who Contributes Data to the CAQH Index?
Medical and dental health plans and providers contribute data to the CAQH Index.
For the 2024 CAQH Index, data collected from medical plans represented 216 million lives, or approximately 63 percent of covered lives in the U.S. Data submissions from medical plans represented 3 billion claims and over 17 billion total transactions. Data collected from dental plans represented 136 million lives, or approximately 47 percent of covered dental lives in the U.S. Dental data submissions represented 223 million claims and a total of 967 million transactions.
