Important Illinois Provider Credentialing Updates
The state of Illinois updated its regulations including the credentialing application. To ensure compliance ahead of the state’s official template release, CAQH proactively updated the Provider Data Portal (PDP) on August 11, 2025, reflecting the new requirements.
What’s needed from your Illinois-based providers?
Attested provider responses obtained prior to August 11th are associated with disclosure questions from an outdated and non-compliant version of the Illinois Credentialing or Recredentialing Application.
In order for the new version of the disclosure questions to contain data in your downloads and extracts, the provider will need to login, complete the disclosure section, reply to new/revised disclosure questions and re-attest.
Why act now?
Until providers complete these steps, applications pulled from the PDP will show incomplete responses for Illinois-specific questions. This could delay credentialing timelines and network participation.
Timeline & Communication
We’ve notified providers about this requirement through in-portal alerts and email reminders. We encourage you to communicate with your network providers to ensure timely completion and avoid credentialing delays.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration. If you have any questions, your CAQH account management team is ready to assist.
